Playful Spring Palette: Sprout Green

So this is my first time ever posting pictures of myself. I’m a bit nervous, but I think if I could help even one person learn how to incorporate color into their wardrobe, it’s worth my embarrassment. Luckily I had a great canine assistant that gave the shoot a touch of humor and levity. Anyway, this week I’m wearing GREEN! I have this vintage duster that I just adore. I’m not sure its origin- I wish I knew- it’s so unusual and beautiful. And very, very GREEN! (As a side note, I bought this from Lofty Vintage, an appointment-only vintage dealer in Yonkers. If you follow her instagram, she posts some amazing pieces like this one for purchase. @loftyvintage ) I’ve paired this gem with denim and a quirky red bag. Yes, you can pair red and green outside of Christmas- you just have to choose slightly off-color reds and greens, like this very yellow-green colored duster and the red-orange bag. They don’t say “Christmas,” but they do say “hello Spring!” I’m so excited it’s finally spring here in NYC so I can start wearing my bright colors again, so I’ll try to post a new colorful look every week this summer. Maybe it will inspire you to make some brave, colorful wardrobe choices too:)

The assistant hard at work.

Okay, you get a snack for being a good assistant.

The Parrot on these Kate Spade earrings and the Toucan on my bag were designed by my friend Fawad. Aren’t they charming?

Who doesn’t love a red handbag?
